Gallery 53 is presenting two exhibits in July. The first is the Artists and Models exhibit, with portraits done by the professional and beginning artists in the Gallery's portrait groups (work without an instructor). The reception is on Thursday evening, July 7, 5-7 p.m. and the exhibit will run though July 16, followed by an exhibit of art from the Gallery's various classes in oil, pastel and watercolor painting, and drawing. This exhibit will close on August 11 - please call the Gallery for details on the opening reception. All events are free and open to the public. The Gallery will close the first week of August for vacation. The Gallery is located at 53 Colony Street, Meriden. Hours are 12 to 4 on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday; 12 to 8 on Thursday; and 10 to 2 on Saturday.
