BROWNSTONE EXHIBIT, Gallery 53 of the Arts & Crafts Assn. of Meriden Jan. 10 - 30, 2004 The Brownstone Exhibit will be held at Gallery 53 of the Arts & Crafts Association of Meriden from Jan 10 - 30, 2004. The opening reception is Sat, Jan 10 from 2 - 4p.m. Music by James Eager of Cheshire, Singer/Songwriter on acoustic guitar, at 2:30p.m. Works include: oil, watercolor, pastel, mixed media, prints, pottery, stained glass and sculpture. Thomas Mayer and Richard Kupstis create a provacative front window which includes brownstone rocks which relate to the groups' beginning about 25 years ago at the brownstone house of Mary T. Gould on Brownstone Ridge where they first began to meet once a month to critique each other's work and give mutual support. There are 15 innovative area artists in the group.

Receiving is Friday, Jan 2, 12 - 4p.m. and Saturday, Jan 2, 10 -2p.m. Regular gallery hours are Tuesday - Friday from noon to 4p.m. and Saturday 10 to 2p.m. at 53 Colony St., Meriden - next to Butler Paint and Decorating and across from the First Congregational Church. Free parking across street for the first 4 hours validated at the gallelry. Easy access to major highways.
