Tom Marano of CL&P and Yankee Gas has earned his official designation as a Certified Economic Developer (CEcD), passing the requisite exams that follow three years of classroom work and field study through the Economic Development Institute (OU/EDI) conducted by the University of Oklahoma. Nationlally, only one in 10 pass the exam on the first attempt. Marano is just the fifth Connecticut economic development professional to earn the professional designation.
