Ion Bank Foundation Awards $5,000 Grant to Columbus House

The Ion Bank Foundation has awarded a $5,000 grant to Columbus House for the Wallingford Emergency Shelter Program. This program operates as part of the Middlesex-Meriden-Wallingford Coordinated Access Network (CAN), an interagency collaborative that enables shelters, housing agencies, and other social service providers to communicate and coordinate services. People experiencing homelessness are connected to the broad array of services available including supportive housing, financial assistance, employment services, benefits counseling, substance abuse recovery, and mental health services. For each family and individual, the goal is housing stability and personal prosperity.Charles J. Boulier III, President & CEO of Ion Bank and the Ion Bank Foundation said "it gives us great pleasure to assist Columbus House in their efforts to provide community health and social services through the Wallingford Emergency Shelter to the citizens of our communities".
