Barakos-Landino Companies began as a civil engineering firm in the apartment of Robert Landino and Eve Barakos-Landino 13 years ago. Today the company employs more than 200 people. Mr. Landino also serves in the state legislature, having been elected in 1995. The CT Engineers in Private Practice has named Mr. Landino as its engineer of the year. Both State Representatives, Chris Donovan and Jim Abrams, praise Robert Landino for his efforts to assist small businesses. Barakos-Landino Companies also have offices in NY, PA, MI, MD and VA. Mr. Landino commented that his decision to move to Meriden was influenced by the C.N. Flagg building and the city's central location. The firm has been recognized in several trade magazines and prefers to work with clients building multiple sites in a region, including Rite-Aid and Hoyt's.
