Dennis Goderre, ASLA, AICP, has been named director, planning and landscape architecture. He most recently held the position of manager, landscape architecture. Mr. Goderre has also relocated to BL Companies' Hartford office and will be in charge of managerial duties at that location. According to David Ball, president, BL Companies, "We are excited about Dennis' expanded role overseeing planning and landscape architecture in all of the firm's seven offices. Dennis was recently named a principal at the firm. We are confident that Dennis will add great depth to our Hartford office team." Mr. Goderre has more than 14 years experience in the fields of landscape architecture and urban planning. He is responsible for the daily operations of the landscape architecture department as well as various facets of project design and management. His planning and design experience includes urban renewal strategies, mixed use development education, parks and recreation facilities, golf course and real estate development and conservation planning.Mr. Goderre earned a bachelor's of science degree in landscape architecture at the University of Connecticut, Storrs, CT. He is a certified planner, recognized by the American Institute of Certified Planners. He is also a registered landscape architect in Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Virginia and West Virginia. Mr. Goderre is a member of the Council of Landscape Architectural Registration Boards, American Society of Landscape Architects, American Planning Association, Connecticut Recreation and Parks Association and Congress of New Urbanism.
