Radio Frequency Systems, a global telecommunications equipment manufacturer specializing in wireless antennas, announced recently that they will be expanding its operations in Meriden. The company, parts of which were founded in New Haven and North Haven in the early 1900's, has had a presence in Meriden since 1998 when it moved part of its operations into the Meriden Hub. That same year, RFS completed a new headquarters on Pondview Drive off of Research Parkway that houses management and manufacturing. Due to the efficiency of operations in Meriden, an antenna manufacturing process out of Phoenix, AZ will be moved to Meriden and another process that was based in New Jersey will be moved to the facility in North Haven. The firm that employs approximately 300 in Meriden also has operations in Australia, China, France, Germany, Mexico and South Africa.
