Westfield Announces Independence Day Fireworks

Celebrations to Kick Off National WFamily Membership Program- Extraordinary Independence Day celebrations are being planned in Trumbull, Milford and Meriden this year. Westfield, who has hosted well attended July 4th celebrations at its Milford location for the last two years, has now announced plans to roll out fireworks events at all three Connecticut Westfield shopping centers. The Westfield Fireworks Spectaculars will take place July 2 � 4th. The events will feature a line-up of summer entertainment, food, interactive family exhibits and, of course, a spectacular choreographed fireworks show. Feature entertainment at Westfield Trumbull and Westfield Connecticut Post includes a performance by the Landsharks, the only Jimmy Buffett Tribute band who has played with Jimmy Buffett and is endorsed by Buffett to play at Universal Studio'sMargaritaville. Westfield Meriden's line-up includes the Nifties Fifties Band, a New England favorite often featured at major regional events and festivals and as an opening act for classic groups like The Drifters, The Coasters, The Mamas and the Papas, and more. Additionally, the first 3,000 guests to arrive at each shopping center will receive scratch & win tickets for instant prizes and discounts from participating Westfield retailers and community partners."Westfield is proud to provide a venue for each of our communities to celebrate Independence Day," said Lee Sterling, Westfield Regional Marketing Director. "These events are the perfect way to connect with our communities while introducing shoppers to the benefits and activities we'll be offering through our new WFamily program." The Fireworks Spectaculars coincide with the national launch of a brand new initiative by Westfield called WFamily. WFamily is an exclusive membership program that treats mom and dad to special shopping privileges, activities and amenities designed to celebrate and entertain the entire family. Membership is free, and by joining, members will receive exclusive savings on Westfield Wednesday's each week just by showing their WFamily card to participating retailers. In addition, members will receive invitations to special events and activities, a free newsletter, a dedicated website with family specific content and much more. The first 500 families to sign-up for the WFamily program at each of the Westfield Fireworks Spectaculars will receive a complimentary goodie bag with giveaways from Scholastic Books and other partners.
