WHEELER CLINIC SELECTED AS TOP WORKPLACE FOR SECOND CONSECUTIVE YEAR

For the second consecutive year, Wheeler Clinic is a The Hartford Courant and FOXCT Top Workplace.

Wheeler Clinic, founded in 1968, is an independent, not-for-profit, community-based organization that provides a comprehensive continuum of mental health and substance abuse recovery services, primary care, special education, child welfare, early childhood, community justice, foster care, employee assistance, and prevention and wellness programs. It serves more than 30,000 children, adolescents and adults, from more than 90 percent of Connecticut's cities and towns, annually.

"We are honored to have been selected for the award for the second year in a row, particularly since it is based on the feedback of our employees," said Susan Walkama, LCSW, president and chief executive officer of Wheeler Clinic. The Top Workplaces are determined based solely on employee feedback; more than 500 Wheeler employees responded in 2014. The survey is conducted by WorkplaceDynamics, LLP, a leading research firm on organizational health and employee engagement.
