A very successful United Way fund drive was recently completed at Wallingford's Masonicare, with more than $5,500 raised for the 2003 campaign.Yvonne Bachand, Director of Referral Relations for Masonicare, served as chairman of the drive, with Jane LaPrino, the organization's Director of MIS, serving as vice chairman. Joseph Baker, Executive Director of the United Way of Meriden / Wallingford, congratulated the pair for their leadership in organizing and managing an outstanding program. Baker said, "Contributions to the United Way are used to support 24 agencies and 60 programs, which help individuals of all ages and from all walks of life live better and more productive lives. Masonicare did an outstanding job bringing employees together to encourage their support for these important community services. The organization's efforts should be a role model for other companies."
Masonicare is the state's largest not-for-profit provider of senior-focused healthcare services and retirement living communities.
