Gallery 53, at 53 Colony Street, is pleased to announce the prizewinners in its 81st Annual Juried Open Exhibition, 2005. Ramona Agro, Virginia Thomas Memorial Award, Best in Show; Sara Cambria, Alan Reid, Past President, Memorial Award; Dr. Neil Scollan, Framer's Market, Best Connecticut Landscape; Raymond Glenn, Andrew Cignatta Memorial Award; Barbara Beck, George Kirschmann Award; John Neff, L. Suzio-York Hill Concrete Award; Lynn Fisher, ACAM Excellence in Craft Award; Wayne Dedmond, ACAM Excellence in Photography Award; Bob Shemkovitz, Dorothy Bushnell Memorial Award; David Cain, Irving Guttenberg Memorial Award; Tom Casso, Samuel Levin Memorial Award (Marine); Sophie Trent, Irma P. Morse Memorial Award (Marine); Rosemary Miller, Marie Neff Memorial Award; Ellie Bender, Lillian Reiner Memorial Award; Carol Lauttenbach, Robert Pison Memorial Award; Jane White, Thomas Blaze Ryan Memorial Award; E. Gurney Fiske, Gordon Walton Memorial Award; Chris Webster, Meriden Women's Club Award; Nancy Whitcher, Castle Bank & Trust Co. The Exhibition will run until November 4. Gallery Hours are: Tues.- Fri., 12-4 p.m., Sat., 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. The Gallery is open to the public free of charge. It is easily accessible from I-91 and I-84, and there is ample parking across the street.
