Gallery 53 of the Arts & Crafts Association of Meriden is offering fall classes in oils, acrylics, watercolors, pastels, portraits, drawing, figure drawing, faux finish, stenciling, collage, art history, and a special class introducing students to various media. Wednesday after-school and Saturday classes will be held for children. Classes are held in the daytime, evenings and weekends. In addition, the Gallery is offering workshops in the Bob Ross Painting Technique, taught by Antimo DeLuca (October 4); Watercolor Painting taught by Chien Fei Chiang (October 25); and an Oil Painting Clinic (November 22) to correct paintings in trouble, led by Janine Wesselmann. Teachers include Doe Bartlett, Rena Berube, Joy Bristol, David Cain, Rose Cignatta, Tracy Ferry, Dick Kupstis, Bruce Raven, Tom Mayer, June Webster and portrait group monitor Ellie Bender. Most classes begin the third week of September and are held at Gallery 53, 53 Colony Street in Meriden. Register today as most classes have minimum and maximum enrollments.
