John Filipowicz began the family business in 1947, a promising time when homes were being built, and veterans were starting families and their own businesses. The company has survived for 53 years by adapting to the changing needs of people. John's sons Robert and Kenneth, along with his daughter Janice and Ken's wife Marie, have continued the family business. They service a variety of customers, residential and commercial, including Northeast Utilities, Yankee Gas, Ashlar Village and dental companies. Ken believes that they can compete with national companies, because they offer personal service, local moving, and packing.
