On June 27, 2007, Literacy Volunteers of Greater New Haven presented the Greater Meriden Chamber of Commerce with a 2007 Community Partnership Award at their annual meeting at Albertus Magnus College in New Haven. Chamber President Séan Moore was in attendance to accept the award on behalf of the staff and membership of the Chamber. The award reads: "We are grateful to the Greater Meriden Chamber of Commerce and to Séan Moore for creating and maintaining an effective long-term community partnership with Literacy Volunteers. Your ongoing support has made it possible for adults who seek literacy services to receive the help they need to improve their skills and improve their lives." The Chamber is pleased to partner with Literacy Volunteers in their efforts to help achieve 100% literacy in the Greater Meriden community.
